Your tasks:

  • Lead smaller and supports the leading of large mergers & acquisitions projects from first contract through due diligence to contract negotiations and closing
  • Owns the M&A pipeline and ensures high proactivity towards potential targets
  • Support with reach out to create strategic dialogue with our Targets when and where needed and go-to market approach
  • Liaise internally with the right persons to help create momentum with Targets and understand segments
  • Prepare presentations – both for internal purpose and external purpose where required
  • Interact with the Group M&A team on a frequent basis to liaise, discuss strategic alternatives and how to further penetrate the market
  • Provide support and advice to the Sweco team where necessary to build a strong basis and help create structural capital for further M&A growth
  • Independent financial, strategic, and legal evaluation of potential transactions
  • Create analyses and recommendations for M&A project steering committees
  • Coordinate and assist negotiation teams and coach corporate colleagues in the project team
  • Oversee, coordinate and assist with the post-acquisition integrations process

You should bring:

  • Friendly, curious, results driven, pro-active and collaborative personality with a strong desire to achieve long-term sustainable growth via M&A
  • Creates trust quickly
  • Experience in dealing with clients and other transactional advisors
  • Completed relevant university degree
  • Several years of relevant professional experience in M&A advisory and/or corporate M&A as overall project manager in the execution of M&A projects
  • Knowledge of company valuation and modelling of business cases and complex financial models
  • Excellent analytical skills (structuring problems, numerical understanding)
  • Relevant experience in sectors pertinent to the Sweco Group
  • Proven negotiation skills with completed M&A transactions
  • Ideally experienced in integrations of acquired companies or with other major transformation programs
  • Proficient in German and English
